Hi! My name is Grace Marker and I am interning with the World Affairs Council of St. Louis this fall. I am a senior majoring in Information Technology Management at Saint Louis University. Aside for my love of technology focused work (hence, my major), I have a passion for learning languages and immersing myself in other cultures. During my sophomore year of university, I studied abroad in Madrid, Spain, where I had the opportunity to improve my Spanish by living with a host family, engaging in language exchanges, and traveling throughout Spain and Europe. I also just started learning the ‘bella lingua’ of Italian.
Prior to joining the World Affairs Council, I have gained work experience in technology consulting, IT support, and event operations.
Outside of my studies and work, I am an avid photographer and graphic designer. I am part of a student-run graphic design consulting group at SLU, which gives me the opportunity to work with clients in the St. Louis area. In my free time, I also enjoy cooking, yoga and exploring new restaurants.
I am very excited to be a part of this team. During my time at the World Affairs Council, I hope to develop relationships with international visitors, as well as gain experience in program development and event planning.
